Logistics that improves visibility, and Delivers certainity
CMTL delivered 11 oversized packages (209,498 kg, heaviest lift 32.9 tonnes) from Metso in Zhejiang, China, to the Nyanzaga Gold Project in Mwanza for Perseus Mining and Sotta Mining Corporation.
CMTL collected more than 20 truckloads of mining equipment in Cape Town, consolidated them in Durban, and trucked them across borders straight to the mine site. Skipping the ports kept construction on schedule.
Moving heavy equipment across borders takes careful planning. CMTL cleared and delivered an SEM 832F dozer to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
At CMTL Logistics, we’re building more than a logistics powerhouse, we’re building a place where people thrive. We foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and genuine care, where driven professionals grow, belong, and make a real impact.
CMTL engineered a bespoke multimodal corridor ocean, road, and a chartered Lake Victoria barge crossing to deliver a 209-tonne ball mill shell to the Nyanzaga Gold Project. All 11 units arrived ahead of schedule, with zero damage.
A shipment of mission-critical mine bearings from Sweden was facing a 30–45day delay after being rerouted mid-ocean — until CMTL intercepted the vessel and chartered it onward. New delivery time: roughly 14 days.
Facing shipping delays that threatened a construction programme, CMTL bypassed the ports altogether — moving 20+ truckloads of mining equipment overland from South Africa to the client’s site in Mwanza, Tanzania.
When Middle East freight routes seized up, CMTL re-engineered the journey — airlifting combined dangerous and non-dangerous mining equipment from Perth to Nairobi via the UAE, then rushing it overland to Mwanza, Tanzania. Total time: six days.
